This month we will be discussing water – importance, conservation, fresh.
The plan is to meet under the bridge at Zilker Park – the same area that you park to go to the Austin Science and Nature Center. Class will be participation in the hot Texas summer.
I WILL NEED HELP from parents.
June's topic will be birds! Backyard Birds!
We will build birdhouses and discuss bird-watching techniques, and record-keeping.
I will need help gathering supplies for the bird-houses. Please refer to the Challenge website for design ideas. (I'm going to check out Pintrest also.)
As always, this event is no cost (donations welcomed) and open to all homeschoolers. Please RSVP so we know how many supplies we need to build the houses. The older kids in the group are first and second grade – and we always have younger siblings running around. Check out our website for past topics.

There is a neat projecta called Code Monday Island I am not sure how it exactly is played, but this looks awesome. Translating programming into a board game is a great idea. Fund this project today!
As always we love Kickstarter projects. There is a new awesome board game for math. Check out Primo. It is like Candyland, but with prime numbers and common divisors! Fund this project today!
